Enjoying the nice weather

The last few days have been beautiful here. 70 degree weather and James has been out of town, so I have tried very hard to keep the kids busy and active. So we have played outside, ALOT! It's been fun especially since Lily is getting closer to that age where she can enjoy playgrounds. We still have a ways to go, but she did have a good time. I took Tate, Lily and their buddy Wylie to the park on Friday morning, and they had a ball. Here are a few pics of that day. Hope you like them!

Photo Shoot with Lily

She is my sweetie!
I decided to take some pics of my sweet baby girl. Lily is a little over 17 months old, this is exactly how old Tate was when we brought his new little sister home from the hospital. I can't imagine doing that now with such a little baby...well...I guess she's not that little. Any, enjoy some photos of what I consider the most beautiful flower in the world, my Lily!

I love this huge smile, she was so happy today!

Take at look at these curls! They are beautiful!

Friday is Here!

So we have been doing well. We went through a sickness spell for a while and the one who had it the worst was James. He was very sick for about 4 days but he is now doing much better. I find it much more difficult when James is sick because his body basically shuts down, so that leaves me to do the parenting, cleaning, cooking and EVERYTHING to myself. It's ok, but after days and days of work, extra kids, and all the things that go with being a "stay at home mom", it gets to be completely exhausting! On top of that, Tate ran a fever for a few days but it didn't last long and it was a really low. Which is rare, ususally when Tate gets sick, it a long, terrible time. Lucky for us, it was quick and mild. Enough with the whining, ok...no really, we are good. James has been a little more busy with our buisness, PC Wranglers and I've taken in an extra kiddo to watch during the week. He is two days older than Tate and they have a ball together. But let me just say, anyone who believes that "one more kid is nothing" is NUTS! For me, one more kid is one more mouth, one more booty to clean, one more brain to entertain, one more body to keep safe. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this little guy and he is a wonderful child when it comes to behavior-but I like to do a good job, and keep him healthy and happy-so I try to entertain with trips to library, color time, good meals and lots of love from the Skeltons...so...it makes me tired, and ONE more kid makes a huge difference! Tate is doing good, got a hair cut last week and he was an angel which is also rare. Tate has lots of hair so he has had to get his hair cut more than the average 2 year old. Most times, he hates getting his hair cut, he climbs the walls, screams with fury, and begs to get out of the hair salon. But this time, he was wonderful, he sat queitly and patiently as our good friend cut his hair, even she was impressed by his calm, unusual nature. GOOD JOB TATER, you make mommy proud! Lily is becoming my genius child. She is so so so smart! Now I know that every parent thinks that their child is prodigy, but seriously, Lily is brilliant. She can figure things out so quickly and she knows so many words. Even though she usually has her pacifier in her mouth, she will speak and say things that would blow your socks off. She is setting in a big girl chair at the table and that makes me so sad, no more highchair-that baby stage is sure flying out the window so fast. I've been good, trying to run more. I like to run, I've been running about 2 miles a day which is GREAT for me, but I do struggle every day to make myself to go and do it. I'm happy once it's over and I've gotten a great workout done for the day. I better go, need to blog more to keep everyone that is interested in my life. I will try harder! Have a good one!

Let's slow down

How is all? Sorry it's been awhile. We are doing well. Tate and Lily are happy things are getting back to normal after the craziness of the holidays. It took us a bit to get back in the groove of things and I was sad that the break ended, but it felt great to get back to the swing of things. James went back to work and I am still at home with the kiddos. I'm really excited about the things that are going to happen this Year. We plan to be very pro-active about selling our house. It will have been on the market for an entire year on January 15th!! That's nuts, I never ever thought in my wildest dreams that this house would ever take that long to sell, but to my surprise, it has. I'm also helping out with a Murder Mystery play. The money that the production raises will go to a wonderful organization that is helping to fully fund a home for children who need emergency shelter or  foster care, right here in my home town. It truly feels good to be apart of it and I'm already enjoying myself. It's a wonderful cause and I hope that it raises a lot. I will keep all posted on the details. Stayed tuned for more!

Lily and Me

James fried at least 5 turkeys on Christmas day. He worked very hard and it was freezing too.

Tate with the gift Mac and Roni got him, he loved it!

Mac got the complete season of "Lost"...whoppie

My sweet Lily Jane

This was Alex's little go thingy, I actually had a lot of fun on it. I also love that Tate is wearing a helmet, I didn't put it on him for safety, he just wanted to wear it. It was his hat.
(Big Sigh) OK...We are finally finished with the "Holiday Marathon"! It was a very nice Christmas and New Year but we have been going and going and going. Between James' and mine immediate family, the holiday season seems to last a long time. It was so wonderful to see family and even some old friends. I really did enjoy the time I got to spend with everyone...but I'm pooped! Tate and Lily had a wonderful Christmas. They loved every gift they got and especially loved seeing all their cousins. Tate really picked up on "Presents" and how they worked, he was so quick to learn how to open them that while I was getting ready to head to my mother's for the Christmas Day meal, Tate opened his cousin's gift. I was too late and frankly, he didn't care even about what was in it. He only cared ripping open the wrapping paper. I have lots of pics to share and I will try my best to post those photos soon. I hope all you readers out there enjoyed your Christmas and spent it with the ones you love. I know I did. Thank you Mom and Dad for hosting, buying, preparing and making Christmas day so wonderful and yummy...and guess what??? There was a little magic in the air. Thank you Roger and Jane for having such a huge, loving family that I adore and love spending time with. Thank you Kiley and Aaron for being so thoughtful of my kiddos...they really do adore both of you! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for coming to see us TWICE! How thoughtful. Thanks to all the Skeltons, Schreiners, and McDaniels  for being apart of all the festivities. And most of all, Thank you to my precious, dear and sweet James, Tate and Lily-I love you more than I can ever express. You ARE my entire universe! I couldn't imagine having any holiday at all without the loves of my life.  You are very very special to me, what a blessing to have you in my world. With many many blessings, hugs and kisses-I love you!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Today, it snowed in Guymon. I took a few pics of the kiddos playing out in the snow. Tate's buddy Wylie was there to join in the fun. Hope you all enjoy the pics!

The kids taking a look at the snow, they kept on saying, "It's Christmas!" They are so smart!
Tate doing a breating treatment with style. He has gotten use to doing them on his own.

Tate eating snow, don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing!
He was having a ball!
